Working with the contours of the existing landscape, we finished the existing pool area, added stone steps for easy access, created a stone patio in the back and added a lush quiet and sunken garden with unique features. We also created a warm, spacious and considered front entry to the property. Great effort was put in to make sure that the end result was effortless and respected the surrounding natural beauty.
Tucked back into the trees, this remarkable cottage required lake access beyond the ordinary. By using armour stone retaining walls, large stone slabs, extensive plantings and well placed lighting we were able to turn a walk to the lake into a journey to remember. The journey finishes at a stone patio, with private lounge area and cozy fire pit for those cool autumn days.
A modern masterpiece, this well considered Georgian Bay home required a thoughtful landscape to match. From the sweeping entry drive and front step, to the outdoor stone fireplace with covered lounge, as well as the private spa and protected dining courtyard, this landscape design compliments this modern home and provides seamless outdoor living.
Living in the country does not necessarily mean doing without. This property brings luxury home with a deep front porch, a private golf course, a large spa with surrounding deck space, an outdoor dining patio, as well as spaces for lounging and entertaining. Finally, for extending the evening, there is a generous outdoor fire pit, perfect for star gazing from. To top it all off, it is artfully lit with simple, modern fixtures.
To maximize the usable space in this sloped lakefront property, three tiers were carved out of the hill with armour stone retaining walls and finished with stone slabs and garden plantings. The tiers were then connected with a generous stone walkway, creating flow from the top tier’s shaded dining and cooking area to the cozy fire pit tier and finally the large sun drenched patio and dock lakeside.
Who says you can’t have the rustic log cabin in the woods with all the modern comforts? This property is the perfect combination of both, with a cozy log home surrounded by forest and a luxurious landscape sure to please. There is a spa connected to a deck for outdoor dining, a generous private pool with an extensive cabana containing both a lounge and a bar, as well as a fire bowl replete with a circle of modern Muskoka chairs.
On top of the Osler Bluffs with a beautiful view of the Georgian Bay, this property provided natural inspiration for a beautiful backyard overhaul. We renovated the existing concrete pool and added a pool cabana featuring two storage buildings complete with a steel-frame cantilever shaded lounge area. The BBQ centre is equipped with a Green Egg grill and finished with custom stone countertops and stainless steel cabinets.
Our homeowners needed an area that suited the whole family including the family dog. We built a dining area on the attached deck for outdoor entertaining and a fire pit overlooking Georgian Bay’s unique vista. A separate lounge space was added off the master bedroom. We even created a fenced-in dog run that integrates seamlessly into the front entrance to provide safe and convenient access for the dog.
For a great first impression of this luxurious landscape, we created a custom timber bench at the front entrance. The inground pool and pool-side bar with shaded lounge area feels like a private resort. The full-sun lounge area finished with flagstone transitions nicely to the fire pit area where family and guests can enjoy into the nighttime. The upper patio has access to the master bedroom and includes a dining area.
This sloped site on Lake Eugenia provided challenges due to the severity of the grading, but the finished project was worth the effort. We built multiple seating and lounging areas for our clients with a custom cabana. The defining feature of this project is the winding stone steps from the water up to the house. We were even able to repurpose some of the existing flagstone to create a dry-stack stone seat wall on the property.
